Northrop Grumman Space Systems seeks a Computer Operator 4 to support our large scale computer facility located in Redondo Beach, CA. What You'll get to Do: Candidate will assist in the setup of developer environments, integrate servers and network gear into racks, deliver computers, run network cabling above and below floors and perform minor troubleshooting for users. Candidate will perform shipping and receiving functions, database updates and property control, which will include asset tagging, system tracking and software license verifications. Candidate will perform data archiving and restore functions, monitor computing systems/networks and environment ergonomics. Administrative clerical work incidental to machine operations will be required, such as labeling cables, tapes, replenishing specified stock items.Qualifications:Basic Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent with 6 years of related experience
  • Current SCI access or DoD Top Secret Clearance with the ability to obtain SCI access prior to start date
  • Process Development
  • Help Desk experience
  • Ability to lift 20 lbs
  • Experience with MS Office applications
  • Experience with Automated Data Processing Equipment (ADPE)
  • Experience working with facilities personnel
  • Works well in a team environment
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
