Asset Manager AnalystOur client is looking for an Asset Manager Analyst to join their team! In this position, you will be responsible for enterprise-wide management of IT assets including hardware, software, cloud, and more. This role requires experience in Hardware Asset Management (HAM), Software Asset Management (SAM), and hardware and software lifecycles. Successful candidates be knowledgeable about technology lifecycles spanning asset selection, tracking, operation, refresh, migration, optimization, retirement, and disposal.

Further responsibilities:
  • Serve as initial contact for all SAM and HAM activities
  • Manage ServiceNow Queue for hardware and software requests
  • Develop and generate reports that communicate current inventory, expected demand, monitor compliance, etc.
  • Manage hardware and software requests from internal and external inventories on a daily basis
  • Effectively communicate and educate the business and IT organization on HAM and SAM processes and policies
  • Ensure timeliness and accuracy of asset data and follow up with data/asset owners as needed
  • Identify areas for cost savings via unallocated licenses and equipment, alternative support options, rationalization, optimal licensing and hardware deployment practices
  • Ensure the accurate collection and storage of IT hardware assets
  • Assist IT Procurement with achieving competitive pricing from multiple vendors
  • Ensure End of Lifecycle and IT Asset Disposal processes and policies are met in the environment
  • Evaluate and investigate license compliance issues, breaches of policy, and remediation options

What Gets You the Job?
  • 1 to 2+ years’ related Hardware and Software Asset Management (HAM and SAM) experience in ServiceNow
  • Familiarity with IT hardware preparation process
  • Working knowledge of license models and entitlements and usage rules for software publishers such as Microsoft, Adobe, Citrix, Amazon, etc.
  • Knowledge of End Point Management tools (SCCM, InTune, Jamf, AirWatch)
  • Familiar with Excel and similar tools
  • Preferred certifications – ITIL Foundation and/or IAITAM Certified IT Asset Manager
  • Excellent communication skills with a focus on collaboration and positive customer experiences
  • Ability to build strong relationships with team members, external vendors, and service providers
  • Detail-oriented with strong prioritization skills
