Systems Administrator - Chicago, IL - Full time perm $100-110K

Looking for someone with a solid breadth of skills across Windows Server/VMware, networking, Office 365, and scripting.Provide level 2 and 3 support for all the internal company workstation and infrastructure systems for users across multiple, typically remotely, but at times in-person at offices across Chicagoland. This role is significantly client facing and requires current computer technician experience, Office 365, Active Directory, printer, and networking/wireless experience, in addition to excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a focus on superior customer service.Duties• Resolve issues with company computer servers, backend applications. hardware, software, printers, network, phones, and email• Support back-office applications with internal users and external vendors• Document, optimize and automate processes such as on/off-boarding and deployments• Optimize PC management and deployment process using Intune and Jamf• Recommend and execute process improvements• Improve system security (identify and mitigate vulnerabilities, improve spam/phishing protection, execute on planned security projects, etc.)• Maintain servers and network through regular patching and updates• Execute and improve DR/BR testing• Monitor and resolve both routine and complex incidents and requests in ticketing system• Brainstorm with team members to resolve more complex problems and escalate difficult issues• Travel to locations in the Chicagoland area as neededTechnologies we work with• Workstations: Dell with Windows 10 and Apple iMac/MacBook with macOS• Servers: AWS EC2, VMware, Windows Server• Networking: Meraki• Productivity: Office 365• Storage: AWS S3, QNAP & Synology NAS• Workstation management: Intune & Jamf Qualifications• Must have scripting experience (PowerShell preferred)• Must have experience improving and automating processes• Must have experience managing a project from planning through implementation• Experience with Office 365, Active Directory• Experience with Mac in a corporate environment preferred• Experience working with a help desk ticketing system• Experience with troubleshooting hardware and software problems• Must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills and be customer service focused• Certifications from CompTIA, Microsoft, Cisco, or ITIL preferred, but not required• Must have personal transportation
