Job Title: Mechanical Engineer/DesignerLocation: Lake Forest, CA, 92630Start: 07/12/2021End: 01/12/2023Description:•Provide fundamental Mechanical Engineering support to develop initial design concepts through proto-typing and production release using both CREO and Solidworks CAD programs along with Windchill and Workgroup manager.•Internal interaction will require interpretation of complex information and external interaction may require exchange of factual information.•Broad work applying and directly contributing expertise in engineering research and/or development methods and applications, develop solutions for problems that require the regular use of creativity.•Provide specific advice in own area and recommends improvements to well established and clearly defined processes.•Requires some fact-finding to define problem.•Selects the best option from a set of defined procedures or based on precedence.•Provided Technical assistance as needed to support regulatory, manufacturing, quality, marketing and other Core Team needs.•Effectively interact with others to facilitate product development and support.•Communicate factual, sometimes complex information to internal and/or external contacts.Skills: •Design precision machine parts, cams & gears, mechanism, castings and sheet metal objects.•Utilizing CREO Create complex 3D models, large assembly, and fabrication drawings.•Design parts/assembly/fixtures from scratch or sketches and with minimal instructions/directions.•Specify material/finish and selection of OEM components (hardware, fasteners, pins, fitting, etc.).•Generate detailed fabrication drawings per Global DRM and ASME Y-14M with familiarity of GD&T and tolerance analysis.•Perform complex interference fit checks, motion studies, and tolerance stack-up analysis on large assemblies.•Utilize Windchill, and Work Group Manager to configure and manage CAD data.•Work with cross-functional teams to ensure project completion.Education: •BS degree with 5 years of experience in Mechanical Engineering.•Minimum of 5 years in PTC CREO foundation modules (3D Detail Design/Part/Assembly).•Knowledge of Top Down Design (TDD) methodologies and applications of model-centric designs.•Knowledge in low and high volume manufacturing processes including Sheet-metal, welding, machining, castings, forging.Required Skills:•Assembly.•Castings.•Creo.•Engineer.•Exchange.
