Full Stack Engineer

Metis Technology Solutions is searching for a Full Stack Engineer to join our team at NASA Ames Research Center in Mountain View, CA. As an agile team, we commit code and perform code reviews with a goal of performing a production push daily. The successful candidate is a motivated self-starter who loves technology and can grow our software platforms enabling frequent and seamless production deployments. We are working on a set of tools that will help companies involved in the Advanced Air Mobility (AAM) sector connect with each other and build supply chains that are scalable and resilient as they move their vehicles from prototype to production. The tools we’re building are critical to helping establish a thriving domestic AAM manufacturing ecosystem.Required Skills:• Experience with UI/UX prototyping and development• 3-7 years of experience building production web applications using JavaScript and JS frameworks such as React• Experience developing server-side applications using Node.js and ExpressAs many of these as possible:• Container technologies such as Docker or Kubernetes• Deploying applications in cloud computing environments such as AWS• SQL (PostgreSQL) and NoSQL (Mongo DB, Redis) databases• CI/CD pipeline development and automated testing• Passion for writing clean, maintainable, solid code that scales and performs well• Excellent interpersonal communication skillsOther Bonus Skills:• Familiarity with distributed ledger technology• Experience developing interactive maps using tools such as ArcGIS, Mapbox, or Here• Experience with JS visualization and graphical charting packages such as Highcharts• Experience with Atlassian collaboration and source code control tools (Jira, Bitbucket, Confluence)• Practical knowledge of agile software development methodologies• Familiarity with the aerospace sector and/or Advanced Air MobilityEOE including disability and veterans
