Please review the job details below.Maxar is currently seeking a motivated and skilled Security Manager with an IT background to join our team in Palo Alto, CA. In this role, you will be responsible for providing general system, facility security and data support across the campus for both U.S. government (USG) and Program Proprietary data.Responsibilities:

  • Provides data repository support for the USG network drive and all data repositories
  • Receives and provides initial screening of USG or Huddle Workspace requirements, working with various Program Management Offices to understand data access security requirements
  • Works with IT resources to implement the required data access requirements
  • Processes access requests from the data owners to determine if requested user meets necessary access requirements (e.g., U.S. citizenship, on contract, with NDA if non-Maxar
  • Generates necessary data handling briefing packages for data owners to ensure users know how the data shall be processed and protected
  • Supports all DoD and SCIF Environments by performing responsibilities associated with the role of the Information System Security Manager (ISSM) and the Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO)
  • Supports the responsibilities associated with managing the Department of Defense (DoD) and Secure Compartmented Information Facilities (SCIF)
Minimum Requirements:
  • Must be a U.S. citizen with an active Secret clearance and be willing and able to obtain a TS/SCI
  • 10 years of relevant experience
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration or other relevant field
Preferred Qualifications
  • Communication skills to that can effectively work across other Maxar business units as a means to effectively support the position tasks
  • Some experience working in the both the DoD and Intelligence Community
  • Working understanding of the various USG data protection documents, including NIST SP 800-53, SP 800-171 and others that pertain to the protection of CUI, Program Proprietary and classified data
  • Working understanding of export control managed data
  • Working understanding of the ICD 503 and 705 documentation
  • Understanding of the Risk Management Framework (RMF) model and practical experience to generate a new RMF package for system accreditation
  • Practical understanding of the Windows operating system and support tools
  • Microsoft Office application skills for documentation generation
  • Experience creating and maintaining plans and schedules that support various efforts
