Propane Service Tech/Back-Up Driver

Sequoia Gas Company (Arcata & Fortuna, CA) is seeking a Propane Service Technician/Relief Delivery Driver to be responsible for the following but not limited to: deliver, set and install propane tanks & outside gas lines, conduct system safety checks, repair gas line, deliver cylinders, convert appliances from natural gas to propane and deliver propane when needed.

Both branches are hiring for this position.

Skills Needed:

Propane/Plumbing Experience Preferred But Not Necessary

Commercial Driving Experience Preferred but Not Necessary

Class B CDL with Hazmat, Air and Brake Endorsements (See Requirements)

Ability to Lift Heavy Objects

Ability to Work Outside in Varying Weather/Driving Conditions

Excellent Customer Service Skills

Ability to Communicate Clearly and Effectively to Convey Information to New & Current Customers

Must Be a Team Player

Requirements:

Within the 1st 30 Days You’ll Need to Obtain Your Class B Commercial Driver’s License containing Hazmat, Tank and Air Brake Endorsements and DOT Medical Card.

Ability to Pass Pre-Employment DOT Physical, Drug Test and Homeland Security Background Check.

A High School Diploma or Equivalent

Work a Flexible Schedule with After-Hours Emergency Calls

Must Be At Least 21 Years Old
