General Job Description:

Selected team member will be required to learn all aspects of the Saw Filing Room, including Bandmill setup, Edger setup, handling and changing saws and pouring and grinding guides. As the Fitter Trainee Relief, you will be required to fill in on any shift and most likely end up on night shift when training is complete.

Experience/Training Required:

Team member will be trained to safely and accurately maintain guides using micrometers, milling on guides and welding.

Job Qualifications and Requirements:

Perform precision work and at a high standard with an acute awareness for safety.

Be willing to learn all aspects of the Saw Filing Room.

Perform basic welding tasks.

Must be able to follow written and oral instructions.

Work safely and follow proper lockout procedures.

Must work well with others.

Must be willing to work overtime, weekends and holidays when necessary.

Work record must be in good standing.

Essential Functions:

Maintain guides using micrometers and grinding of guides with accuracy and an acute awareness for safety.

Keep work area clean and orderly at all times.

Team member will follow all fall protection and lockout/tagout procedures and work in a safe and cooperative manner with all team members to meet safety, efficiency and quality goals.
