CAR WASH ASSIST MANAGER JOB DESCRIPTION

The responsibilities of a car wash assistant manager include overseeing daily operations at a business that provides motor vehicle washing and polishing. Duties include managing staff, responding to customer complaints, and maintaining inventory. They may also include conducting safety training, holding staff meetings, and ensuring the necessary service of any equipment at the facility. Administrative responsibilities of the car wash manager may include invoicing, keeping track of discount codes, and scheduling staff.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Resolve all customer complaints and damage claims

Monitor all equipment and site maintenance and repairs

Handle on-site cash management

Maintain quality of the car wash service and maintain clean, attractive, and safe facility

Maintain a customer satisfaction level of 90% or better and increase customer volume

Serve as an ambassador of the brand, striving for excellence, and being an example of professionalism and integrity to the other employees

Responsible for ensuring customer satisfaction at a professional car wash.

Day-to-day activities include supervising staff along with identifying and resolving customer concerns and complaints.

Ideal candidates demonstrate a mechanical aptitude for equipment maintenance as well as organizational skills for the management of chemistry, wash supplies and labor.

Builds a loyal customer base by establishing a trusting relationship based on integrity and fairness.

Listens effectively to understand and communicate in a business-like manner to both customers and employees all pertinent subject matter.

Presents a warm, friendly, knowledgeable and professional image to customers.

In charge of the location’s maintenance (maintain cleanliness of sites, equipment maintenance/repair & chemical care and quality of the wash service).

Maintain accountability for the operations of the car washes (deposits, inventory, cashier machine functionality & discount codes).

Invoices customers using proper procedures for cash, charge & credit.

Handles customer complaints, employee conflicts and daily operational problems in an even-tempered, fair and consistent manner.

Learns and understands the performance business data and applies it fairly to daily operations and decisions in effort to increase productivity.

Follows daily opening and closing procedures accurately.

Responds accurately and on time to all administrative duties and deadlines; including employee scheduling, evaluations, deposits, inventory, etc. Other duties as assigned.
