The position reports directly to the Property Manager. The position is full-time, non-exempt. The Assistant Property Manager position works either Saturday or Sunday with two consecutive days off during the week. Working side by side with the Property Manager and Leasing Agent, the Assistant Property Manager will be responsible for assisting in all phases of building operations and the apartment community.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Actively participate with the leasing staff and Property Manager in advertising and leasing to maximize occupancy

Manage move-ins and move outs

Resolve resident problems in a timely and courteous manner

Assists staff to ensure they are well informed on their position responsibilities and are performing at or above expectations

Assist in training new staff as well as provide on-going training and feedback on performance

Ensures that building and office are properly staffed at all times

Ensures staff provides necessary customer relations for superior customer satisfaction

Routinely inspect property to ensure it is safe and to determine if repairs or maintenance are needed

Monitors property vendors to ensure quality service

Process work orders and monitors direction of property maintenance operations to ensure compliance with company

standards

Respond to tenant requests and issues in a timely manner

Maintain customer service standards and resident relations

Complete leasing/administrative paperwork

Keeps lease occupancies and rents at highest desired level

Review delinquencies and assist in collections

Ensure market-ready condition of vacant units and manages turn-over

Coordinate lease terminations, preliminary inspections, and apartment turn-over

Provides tours of apartments and community to potential residents for purpose of leasing apartments

Coordinate outreach marketing and advertising

Completes all other projects or requests as directed by Supervisor

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Knowledgeable of San Francisco Rent laws

Must be able to take initiative and possess problem solving skills

Excellent customer service skills

Strong computer skills

Outstanding written and oral communication skills

Attention to detail

YARDI experience a plus

Designated on-call personnel must keep mobile communication on during non-business hours, seven days a week and respond to all emergency calls in a timely manner and if necessary, in person

Minimum Qualifications:

High school diploma. GED or equivalent work experience preferred

Minimum of 3 years of experience in residential management or leasing management

CCRM a plus
