We are currently looking for an enthusiastic and confident Sr. Human Resources Generalist who is passionate about people! You will partner with our property leaders to provide human resource expertise on all aspects of talent acquisition and human resources. This position will work in our Calabasas Corporate Office, this position is not a remote position. This is a perfect opportunity for a strong and knowledgeable candidate to take their career to the next level. You will be supporting human resources efforts for approximately 400+ employees and this position is a full-time position; schedule: Monday-Friday from 9am - 6pm

Responsibilities and Duties:

Provide assistance, support, consultation and direction, including application of HR policies and processes, with owners, regional managers, supervisors and employees.

Directs and recommends resolutions on employee issues; leads employee relations initiatives and investigations to ensure a positive and fair work environment, while maintaining compliance with state and federal regulations.

Builds the candidate talent pool by seeking out and building relationships with top talent for current and future job openings. Includes direct calls, networking, posting (as requested) and engaging on social media, sourcing candidates from various groups, hosts in-store job fairs, attends external job fairs. Is a key player in bringing on the right talent for the right positions.

Continually partners with management to build positive employee outcomes by establishing and maintaining connections with leaders. Helps shape an outstanding work environment by staying abreast of current trends and anticipating impending employee concerns or needs. Participates in employee recognition initiatives and events.

Conducts engaging new hire on-boarding that mirrors our dynamic company culture.

Responsible of performing all upfront audit activities to ensure an accurate and smooth semi-monthly payroll process. Maintains timekeeping records and submits to corporate payroll according to deadlines. This includes entering all commissions/bonuses.

Assist with the open enrollment process. Coordinate open enrollment meetings for all plans and administer employee benefits to new and existing employees. Audit benefits bills on a monthly basis to ensure accuracy.

Facilitates development training programs to increase the knowledge, skills and abilities of all employees and leadership.

Responsible for off boarding all separating employees, which includes COBRA administration.

Heavy involvement of all benefits, worker’s compensation, leave and safety administration.

Assures and maintains general compliance with state and federal regulations for all human resources practices while also maintaining and tracking various reports and HR metrics.

Responds to government requests for unemployment information and hearings.

Qualifications and Skills:

The ideal candidate for this position:

High-energy, enthusiastic and confident human resource generalist;

3-5 proven years’ experience as a Sr. HR Generalist in a company of 200 + employees;

Exercise judgment, integrity and discretion involving confidential information;

advanced computer knowledge of: MS suite, advanced excel, knowledge of ADP Workforce Now;

Possess detailed knowledge of human resource best practice;

Self-motivated and possess excellent communication, organization, planning, time management skills and is able to multi-task across multiple projects with varying deadlines; and

Has a working knowledge of all employment laws, including Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO), Americans with Disabilities Act, FMLA, CFRA, Workers’ Compensation, and Harassment

A Bachelor's degree is required in Business, Human Resources, or related field is required. Must possess a PHR designation or working towards completion. Must be able to travel locally (infrequently out of the area) and work outside of normal business hours as needed.
