- Technical Operations Project Manager As a part of Sony Computer Entertainment, FTG is leading the cloud gaming revolution, putting console-quality video games on any device, from TVs to consoles to mobile devices and beyond.
- As a member of the Service Reliability Engineering team here at SIE, we carry the responsibility of keeping this platform available and robust, while continually enabling our service teams to deliver new and exciting product and technical features!
- Some of your day-to-day responsibilities will include executing production deployments, analyzing capacity, tuning performance, production support, and automating operational processes and tasks.
- Our team strives to iteratively learn, improve and automate our processes every single day, which continually raises the bar for operational excellence within our organization.
- As a project manager, you will be encouraged to be a technical leader on our team, helping identify and proactivity drive improvements in both process and technology!
- Coordinate projects across the different locations and time zones the SRE team is spread across
- Lead cross-functional site infrastructure projects in a matrix organization covering a range of areas (hardware systems, infrastructure software engineering, capacity management).
- Develop and lead end-to-end project plans and ensure timely delivery.
- Provide hands-on project management during all phases of Operational Software design.
- Provide day-to-day coordination and quality assurance for projects and tasks.
- Drive internal process improvements across multiple teams and functions.
- Collaborate with Engineering and Business Owners for project requirements and scope.
- Own and drive process execution and improvement that affect global operations, including the success of multiple teams, and is visible to the executive team. Requirements
- A Bachelor's Degree in a technical field or equivalent, or 6 years of relevant work experience.
- Consistent record of deftly written and verbal communication skills.
- Self-starter, with a strong ability to operate in an unstructured environment.
- Strong organizational and coordination skills along with multitasking capabilities to get things done in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong and diverse software technology background.
- Good interpersonal skills, including relationship building and collaboration within a diverse, cross-functional team.
- Strong working experience with Project Management tools and Agile methodologies. Additional Attributes
- Experience with Internet Service Delivery and Operations a plus.
- Internet startup and technical infrastructure management experience a big plus.
- Experience with leading projects related to rapid network deployment, data center operations, capacity management a plus.
- PMP Certification (PMI) a plus.
