A California-based entertainment company is currently seeking a new Data Analytics Engineer for a promising Senior and Remote position with their growing staff. In this role, the Senior Data Analytics Engineer (Remote) will be responsible for focusing on service performance reporting and data visualization, such as service monitoring, alerting, and tracking service performance metrics across our tech stacks.

Responsibilities: The Senior Data Analytics Engineer (Remote) will:
  • Design and build data models for a system, service, and database monitoring and alerting framework for a cloud hosted large scale consumer video service
  • Respond to emerging incidents, solve critical issues through data, and follow through with a plan for resolution or future mitigation based on data
  • Deep troubleshooting related to service failures, performance, and networking, including root cause analysis based on data
  • Act as a SME on data models and data visualization, with the goal of proactive alerting against production systems, servers, and databases

Qualifications:
  • 2+ years of AWS/Cloud Infrastructure experience for large scale web hosted consumer services
  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field
  • Experience with AWS, including EKS, EC2, VPC, S3, Lambda, Cloudwatch, etc.
  • Extensive experience working with Data Modeling and Machine Learning
  • Extensive experience working with Data Visualization and Dashboarding
  • Highly detailed in documentation and maintaining standardization in data, metrics, and analysis
  • Experience working with Docker and Kubernetes in a microservice architecture
  • Experience working with Linux and solid grasp of fundamentals
  • Experience developing and maintaining distributed microservice based infrastructure
  • Experience designing, implementing and running Node.js servers in demanding high traffic environments
  • Extremely technical hands-on server software experience
  • Great interpersonal skills
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Highly organized

Desired Skills:
  • Statistical Modeling Development experience
  • Experience with time series data anomaly detection
  • Experience with Freewheel data and Adtech data and platforms
  • Experience with Statistical Analysis in either Python or R
  • Experience with building Data Streaming pipelines
  • Experience with Vault and Elasticsearch/Kibana
