We are seeking a highly skilled Software Engineer for a long term contract or contract to hire role, who has experience with/is looking to immerse themselves in to the most modern Java technical stacks. You will be using Java 8-10, Spring Boot, AWS, CI/CD, and more. You will be working as a Senior/Lead Software Engineer on a highly impactful and complex SaaS solution, responsible for millions of dollars in revenue. This is the ideal role for the Senior to Lead Software Engineer in The Loop, looking for an exciting new challenge. Required Skills & Experience
- Masters or PHD in Computer Science, Mathematics, or related technical field
- Building and supporting scalable applications with Java 8+/Spring, Python/Django and/or other MVC Frameworks
- Interest in working on smaller fast paced teams
- Passion for working with a diversity of technologies
- Prior experience within a Big Data role/team
- Experience working within Big Data systems such as Hadoop, Teradata, etc
- Exposure and leverage of Big Data tools (Sqoop, Pig, Hive, Flume, Drill, etc)
- DevOps, CI/CD, and AWS Security best practice familiarity
- IOT and Connected Devices experience is a plus
- Interest in working closely with Hardware and Software teams
- Experience utilizing node.JS within a production environment
- Experience with web tech and frameworks, primarily javascript (JS, AngularJS, ReactJS, JQuery, Dojo, or Bootstrap
- Polyglots wanted
- 100% Java, Python, and/or any other Object Oriented Programming language
- AWS and CI/CD
