Network Administrator

Zachary Piper Solutions is currently seeking a Network Administrator to provide technical support on a classified network supporting a US Government Customer. The selected candidate will support the network infrastructure for several enclaved networks operating primarily Cisco (with some Brocade) routers and switches. The ideal candidate has a solid networking knowledge foundation and is able to manage, secure, and troubleshoot networking devices. They must be able to configure and troubleshoot networks, have strong knowledge of protocols and hardware, perform IP addressing, create subnets, analyze traffic, and research network security concerns. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Network administration and troubleshooting.
• Maintenance of the network infrastructure, troubleshooting network connectivity for multiple sites, performing IOS upgrades for equipment, and assisting with failure repair when needed.
• Configuration of various TCP/IP protocols, translation between private and public addresses using NAT, and support protocols such as ARP, DNS, and DHCP.
• Configuration of routers to determine the function of various routing protocols, including RIP, IGRP, and OSPF.
• Use of a protocol analyzer to capture and view network traffic, including e-mail, instant message exchanges, and web transactions.
• Testing basic network security implementations (ex: the impact a router that has been configured as a firewall has on the flow of traffic through a network).
• Basic troubleshooting of TACLANE connections

• An Active DoD Secret
• CompTIA's Security+ certification
• 3+ years of experience in Networking

• Security+ CE
• GIAC Security Essentials Certification (GSEC)
• Security Certified Network Professional (SCNP)
• System Security Certified Practitioner (SSCP)

• Salary: $60,000 - $80,000
