RESPONSIBILITIES:Kforce has an amazing Calfornia client looking for an Instructional Designer for a remote role.Responsibilities of the Instructional Designer: The Instructional Designer assess, design and develop learner centric instructional materials including instructor led & e-learning training modules, manuals, teaching aids, training activities, role play scenarios, facilitator guides, self-paced study and multimedia solutions for a blended learning environment Develop learning programs across a variety of mediums (print self-study, classroom, and virtual classroom) Conduct structured needs assessments and provide detailed recommendations to Learning and Development Manager, project owners The Instructional Designer will design programs using a systematic instructional design process with an outcome-based methodology Propose plans to reduce classroom time, increase self-study and online learning with proven ROI The Instructional Designer conducts and/or coordinate train the trainer sessions as necessary to support training initiatives Analyze learning needs and requirements for a variety of education initiatives, including strategic capabilities Design, develop, and maintain effective technical and non-technical training solutions based on learning requirements, business and technology changes, and adult learning principles Provide leadership and consulting to create and implement proactive learning solutions and recommendations regarding complex situations Work with L&D team members and leaders, the business, and subject matter experts to develop training objectives that meet specific learning needsREQUIREMENTS: The Instructional Designer needs the understanding digital production processes, adult learning theory, storyboarding, digital learning design, responsive design and project management, and the linkage between design and learning evaluation/assessment Understanding digital platforms, tools and systems, designing and leading for major educational technologies (including self-study, mobile learning, micro/nano learning, flipped classrooms, simulations, interactive pdfs, videos and animations, performance support tools, etc.), and the applicable development processes/timelines and appropriate uses of these technologies Working in a software development and/or learning technology development environment The Instructional Designer needs hands-on knowledge of Storyline, Adobe CC, Camtasia and equivalent video and audio production and editing Demonstrating knowledge and execution of internal processes and standards, digital file management and digital workflow processes Linking digital design, responsive design, evaluation, learning assessment, and production management on complex projects Consulting in highly ambiguous environments and collaborating through use of effective oral and written communication skills Demonstrating knowledge and use of design thinking (including persona development, affinity mapping, journey mapping, and prototyping) Demonstrating knowledge and use of agile project management techniques (including sprint planning, backlog management and sprint review) Ability to design innovative blended learning programs focused on the learner experience Able to communicate complex concepts, systems, and procedures clearlyKforce is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
