A/V (Audio/Visual) Engineer

Job DescriptionThe Audio/Visual (AV) Collaboration team is looking for an A/V Engineer who knows their way around global expansion and buildouts.

You will:
  • You will help establish and propose appropriate strategy and technology for how employees will work.
  • You will occasionally be hands on with commissioning and troubleshooting.
  • You will occasionally assist with operational escalations when necessary.
  • You'll be someone who understands best practices and always stays ahead of industry trends.
  • You will be someone who is not afraid to be in the technical weeds.
  • Work with vendors and manufacturers to design systems and develop testing procedures.
  • Partner with AV engineers in testing, implementing new technology solutions.
  • Develop close partnerships with IT and Facilities teams in defining project scope and success criteria.
  • Understand budgets and prioritize ongoing/new projects.
  • Create & assist in A/V documentation and standard operating procedures.
  • Know how to collaborate with cross-team functions, key stakeholders, and external vendors
  • Able to plan, execute, and implement multiple concurrent projects.

Qualifications
  • Minimum 3+ Years of A/V builds experience.
  • Experience in AV system design and development.
  • Experience working in a distributed team environment.
  • You have deep knowledge around collaboration spaces, conference room technology, and video and collaboration platforms.
  • Experience in managing technology life cycle from conception to global deployments.
  • Experience creating programs around AV communication and training programs.
  • Experience with AV system design, system configuration, and mockup/prototyping of concepts
  • Experience with construction projects including AV, acoustical and lighting specific facility impacts (HVAC coordination, lighting, environmental control, room acoustics).
  • Audio DSP programming experience (Q-Sys, Biamp, Shure).
  • Knowledge of networking hardware, network protocols, IoT, streaming protocols, video codecs, Dante
  • AutoCAD or other design software proficiency.
  • Ability to improve and build new processes.
  • Excellent communicator.
  • Experience with Office365, Zoom, Teams, Digital signage activities.

Plus:
  • Telephony/VoIP/uCaaS (IE: Ringcentral, Zoom Phone, 8x8, Microsoft Audio Conference, CUCM).
  • Active Directory / O365 Environment.
  • A/V Certifications such as: QSYS, Tesira Forte/Biamp, Extron AV Associate, Crestron Certifications, CTS/I/D.
  • Experience designing around datacenter, hybrid cloud, and cloud for AV and broadcast solutions.
  • Experience proposing projects and status to executive leadership.
