OverviewThe QA Engineer will be responsible for the set up and maintenance of test environments, deploy releases, defining, reviewing, and executing test protocols for our marketing development projects. He/she will also provide frontline support for identifying and debugging software defects. The ideal candidate will also investigate complex issues and provide analysis, potentially including fix recommendations.Responsibilities

  • Work with stake holders, business analysts and development teams when reviewing design documents, requirements and UI flows in order to understand use cases and functionality and then prepare new test cases accordingly
  • Write test plans and test cases for both web and mobile applications
  • Conduct tests cases against various development environments (dev/qa/uat/prod)
  • Manage the defect tracking process for the project and ensure disposition on all known defects
  • Identify features and workflows as candidates for automation
  • Write automation scripts to be added to growing automation library
  • Other duties may be assigned.
Qualifications
  • Extensive experience in the design and implementation of formal testing methodologies and practices in a fast-paced software development company
  • Experience in software testing methodologies, both manual and automated
  • Experience with automated testing tools (Selenium is preferred, Appium is a plus)
  • Experience in defining and building automated software testing tools and techniques is desired
  • Hands on SQL experience
  • Experience in an Object Oriented Language (C#, Java, etc); C# experience preferred
  • Experience in testing iOS and Android platforms
  • Experience with both white box and black box testing
  • Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process
  • Experience using workflow and project management/ collaboration tools
  • Strong understanding of Web site information architecture, navigation, and content strategy
  • Strong analytical and trouble-shooting skills
  • Organized, detail-oriented, accurate and thorough
  • Self-managed, proactive work style. Able to work independently within a team centric environment

Desired Education/Experience

:
  • BS degree in Computer Science or related discipline
  • 5-7 years in Web QA/ Testing environment required.
  • Experience working in .NET framework.
  • Experience using automated testing framework
  • Knowledge of SASS and AngularJS is a plus
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Desire to engage in challenging assignments
