Overview / Responsibilities:

Wood is currently recruiting for a Human Resources Advisor / P&O Advisor for the Sheridan, WY Office.

Authorization to work lawfully in the US without sponsorship from Wood is required

The role of the HR Advisor / P&O (People and Organization) Advisor is to provide a variety of HR generalist services necessary for the entire employee life-cycle including recruitment, selection, assignment, motivation, training, and development of qualified employees for their area of business. This role works in conjunction with the Centers of Expertise to deliver employee engagement tools; talent management, workforce planning and resourcing, organizational effectiveness, and change management. Key accountabilities and responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

  • Provide advice and support to key stakeholders on P&O (People and Organization) policies,procedures and employment legislation, including; performance management, capability, discipline and grievance

  • Act as a focal point regarding issues related to conditions of employment, salary, benefits and employee relations

  • Work collectively with hiring managers and the Strategic Resourcing personnel to aid in the recruitment and hiring of personnel

  • Participate in the resourcing process, discussing requirements with line managers, and conducting interview for priority/key roles

  • Conduct exit interviews

  • Support and assist all P&O projects

  • Assist in career development, discussing career paths with line managers and recommending suitable candidates for promotion

Skills / Qualifications:

Qualifications:

  • Degree in Human Resources, related field or equivalent work experience

  • Knowledge of people practices and applicable legislative framework

  • Knowledge of state and federal employment laws

  • Knowledge of HRIS systems

  • Experience dealing with industrial and employee relations issues

  • Previous experience in an HR environment preferred but not required

  • Excellent customer service skills
