Job Title: Project Manager Sr – Specialty- Oracle ExpertLocation: Seattle, WADuration: 12+ Months (With high possibility of extension)Description:

  • Coordinates or participates in all phases of the project cycle, including planning, design, development, testing, implementation, documentation, training and closure.
  • Ensures that the project achieves the expected results within time and on budget.
  • Ensures effective ongoing communication throughout the project.
  • Meets with key managers to coordinate meetings, assignments and deadlines and communicates changes to appropriate parties.
  • Identifies issues and resolves or escalates them as appropriate. 3-5 years
Daily tasks:
  • Develops a deep understanding of projects within the program portfolio, manages assigned projects with a clear understanding of business and IT context, and develops an understanding of cross-program portfolio dependencies.
  • Drives complex, cross-functional enterprise projects, leading multiple efforts simultaneously.
  • Leads high performing, cross-functional, often globally distributed teams.
  • Works independently, with limited day-to-day guidance from senior program management leadership.
  • Performs core project management duties, including guiding the project through formal approval and funding gates; developing a project plan that includes a detailed budget, project timeline, detailed task-driven schedule, project RACI and resource plan, and communication plan; and managing project execution from analysis/design through build, test, and deployment.
  • When leading an Agile project, partners closely with the scrum master and product owner on all activities.
  • Ensures that project status reports are relevant, transparent, and add value.
  • Partners with resource and delivery managers to ensure that the project has the skillsets and resources required for delivery
Degree or certifications required:
  • Bachelor’s Degree required; Master’s Degree is desired, but not required. Degrees should be relevant to role
  • PMP, PgMP, and SM certifications are a plus, but not required.
Preferred background/Skills:
  • Experience as a project manager in technology or a software development environment
  • Experience with Supply Chain Systems, Retail Inventory Systems and/or Retail/Revenue Accounting Systems and associated operations
  • 10+ years in successful technology project delivery in large complex organizations
  • Previous experience with systems delivery or knowledge of Oracle (EBS) including master data management
  • Experience with retail systems and operations environment is strongly preferred
  • Expert Knowledge and experience in all project delivery methodologies e.g. Agile/SCRUM, SAFE 4+, Hybrid, Predictive (waterfall)
  • Manage assigned projects against cross-program portfolio dependencies
  • Works independently, with limited day-to-day guidance from senior program management leadership
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent oral and written communications to deliver crisp, concise presentations and status reports
  • PMP, PgMP, and/or Scrum Master Certifications are a plus
  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite including Visio with expert skills in MS Project, PowerPoint, Excel required
  • Experience with Microsoft TEAMs, Confluence, SmartSheets, and JIRA required, MIRO preferred
  • Ability to apply knowledge of multidisciplinary principles and practices to achieve successful outcomes in cross-functional projects and activities
