Data Optimization ManagerCharlotte, NCDirect Hire This position will work closely with executive leadership to establish and review new strategic digital reporting initiatives that will be used by teams across the organization. This position will design, build, and implement data structures and reporting tools to standardize data collection techniques and reporting metrics across departments. This position will work with key business partners across the company’s finance organization to develop and standardize digital properties for P&L measures, create meaningful management financial and operational metrics reports.This position will use data mining, statistical modeling, machine learning, and other techniques to conduct advanced analysis such as customer segmentation and sales forecasting in order to drive the eCommerce business. This position will develop and lead ongoing channel profitability, performance, and financial analysis (e.g. sales volume, margin, freight costs, traffic, conversion rate, CPC, CPA, customer retention, and ROI). This position will drive A/B experimentation efforts in order to enhance eCommerce performance through improvements such as user experience and product selection.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Strategy & Planning
    • Review and analyze existing eCommerce effectiveness and efficiency through web analytics, and then develop strategies/statistics for improving conversion rates.
    • Manage and provide direction for the application development teams in support of business operations.
  • A/B Testing
    • Work with internal and external multi-variant testing tools and Google Analytics to conduct multiple tests on website(s).
    • Provide recommendations and make decisions based on tests and results that will drive conversion rates, and incremental revenue for the business.
    • Fully understand ATD’s digital goals and key strategies, and based on these goals, prioritize, recommend, execute tests to help achieve these goals.
  • Traffic Channel & Site Optimization
    • Have a full understanding of the key KPI’s for the business. Closely monitor each channel’s traffic, conversion rates, , revenue, and gross margin and perform analysis and leverage own conclusions to drive new recommendations and initiatives to improve channel performance.
    • Using internal tools, closely monitor website(s) performance against key KPI’s, and identify areas of opportunity or gaps in the business to improve eCommerce conversion rates. Develop daily, weekly, and monthly reports to be distributed to executive leadership

    • Based on site analytics and his/her own recommendations, develop business cases on new projects that drive incremental revenue, author detail user stories and test cases that can be deciphered by our development team.
  • B2C Pricing Strategy and Competitive Analysis
    • Manage gross profit by pricing products listed on our website by analyzing costs, dealer and B2B pricing, competitor pricing and overall margin goals. Responsible for GP by brand strategy.
    • Utilize competitor-pricing data to direct marketing team on where to most efficiently spend budget.
  • Installer Data
    • Provide data to support the growth and optimization of dealer channel.
    • Completed projects have included determining the necessary number of installers based on population and census data, identifying gaps where more installers are needed, optimizing pricing of existing installer base, and constructing a tool for the Sales field for recruiting new dealers.
  • Website Reviews
    • Collaborate with marketing team to increase the quantity of product reviews on the website.
    • Work with development team to improve the experience of reviews on B2C properties.
    • Manage vendor relationship of 3rd party review provider as well as ensure the syndication of reviews from manufacturers.

Requirements

Education: BS in Computer Science, Engineering, or BA in related field is required

Experience:
  • 3-4 years of experience in business intelligence for a high-traffic eCommerce website
  • 3-4 years of experience working with best-in-class eCommerce services/tools, including Chat, A/B Testing, Geo Targeting, Personalization, Search, Mobile Commerce
  • 4+ years of experience working with web analytics tools (i.e. Google Analytics)
  • 4+ years of experience in developing detailed business cases
  • 3+ years of experience in Web Product Management for a Fortune 500 company website.
  • 2+ years of experience in eCommerce Pricing Optimization
