- Process weekly and semi-monthly payroll for hourly and salary employees including Canada & UK employees.
- Collect and summarize timekeeping information from E-Time.
- Obtain supervisory approval of timecard discrepancies.
- Obtain overtime approvals.
- Must be proficient in entering payroll journals in the accounting system on a bi-weekly basis.
- Enters sales compensation adjustments & Masterfile data for new jurisdictions.
- Process and issue annual W-2 forms to employees.
- Process and distribute reports for compensation, taxes paid, garnishments, and deductions.
- Answer questions from employees related to payroll topics.
- Reconciles hours paid and billed in monthly Bill/Pay internal audit, reviews per diems quarterly for Controller,
- Prepares reports for wage and bonus accruals, and quarterly comparison of payroll system data to Traxx data.
- Update payroll records by entering changes in exemptions, insurance coverage, savings deductions, and job title and department/division transfers.
- Prepares reports by compiling summaries of earnings, taxes, deductions, leave, disability, and nontaxable wages.
- Resolves payroll discrepancies by collecting and analyzing information.
- Maintains payroll operations by following policies and procedures; reporting needed changes.
- Maintains employee confidence and protects payroll operations by keeping information confidential.
- Assist with Human Resources duties in relation to employee compensation & benefits.
- Proficient in reconciling the medical and benefits with the payroll General Ledger.
- Must be able to create a strict payroll process and understand the overtime policies to ensure a compliant payroll process.
- Reconcile payroll issues within all internal interfaces (Traxx, ADP, E-Time, or finance system).
- 4+ years’ experience in full cycle Payroll processing. ADP WorkforceNow (ADP WFN) experience is a must.
- Experience with multiple interfaces such as ATS, payroll, HRIS or Time tracking systems.
- High degree of accuracy and data checking
- Knowledge of Federal, State & local tax allocations or set-up.
- Support for financial audits.
- Excellent written & verbal communication skills
- Flexible schedule determinant upon business demand.
- Ability to compute rate, ratio and percentages.
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and drive valid conclusions.
- Ability to work independently with minimum supervision.
- To report for duty punctually following the company Attendance and Punctuality Policy.
- Ability to be calm under stress and maintain a professional rapport with all departments.
- Be proficient with Microsoft office and be able to create VLOOKUP’s, and Pivot reports.
- Previous information technology accounting experience preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in relevant area or equivalent additional experience on a yr/yr basis.
- Previous information technology accounting experience.
- Member of APA
- CPP certification
