This opportunity can be a contract to hire for the right person!As an IT Support Specialist, you will be a responsible for a mixture of front line and advanced IT support needs. Provide quick response to and timely resolution of assigned tickets while providing a very high level of customer care. You will help with any walk up/phone call interactions requiring advanced assistance as well as continually looking for ways to improve processes and delight customers.

ResponsibilitiesProvide Tier 1 & 2 IT support to our end usersRespond to requests for technical assistance in person, via phone and electronicallyProvide end users a predictable, attentive connection with the Technology Services teamAppropriately manage expectations with end users by setting reasonable deadlinesEnsure that tickets are resolved in a timely manner and clearly document support activity in each ticketDiagnose and resolve technical hardware and software issuesResearch questions using available information resourcesRedirect problems to appropriate resources or escalate situations requiring urgent attentionKnow the latest technology and associated changes and/or updatesFollow existing policies and procedures; update as necessaryMaintain internal FAQ / KB articlesWorking on a rotation system to assist with new hire setup and onboardingProvide after hours on call support - on average 1 week every 2 months

Required Skills and QualificationsExcellent customer care skills with a “delight the customer” mentalityGood social, communication and organizational skillsA knack for problem solving with the ability to maintain composure and focus while solving problemsExperience in resolving PC hardware issues on Intel platformsExperience using and supporting Microsoft Windows 10Experience using and supporting Apple Macintosh, macOS and iOSExperience using and supporting Microsoft OfficeExperience in a corporate IT support environmentStrong analytical, troubleshooting, problem-solving and performance tuning skillsAbility to work in a team environment and also complete tasks independently with minimal supervisionStrong drive for career growth, professional development and mastering new technologies
