Senior Software Engineer / Java / Kotlin

A well-funded start up in Pasadena is on the hunt for a senior software engineer for their backend engineering team. In a world where the word "disruptor" is flying around constantly, these guys are truly disrupting an industry whose archaism is truly shocking in today's world of artificial intelligence and NLP. This is a backend engineering role that requires someone to have experience with one of the major JVM languages such as Java, Kotlin, Scala, or Clojure. This engineer should also have a very open-minded perspective when it comes to the day to day work responsibilities of a lean-Agile environment in the AI space. This role, while hands-on sometimes requires someone to diver their attention to other areas when necessary, so someone who is open to taking on other responsibilities in stride is a must! Required Skills & Experience

• At least 4 years of experience in a JVM language
• Bachelors or Masters in Computer Science
• Prior startup experience a plus

• 100% hands on Java development
