Job Description - IT Project ManagerPosition Summary: The IT Project Manager will provide the project management expertise to allow for the successful implementation of Information Technology (IT) projects within our government client's organization. The Senior PM Specialist may also provide supervisory or specialized project management expertise to allow for the successful implementation of all major IT projects within the client. Primary responsibilities include leading one or more projects at any given time and may involve supervisory management and/or specialization in a field, including Strategic Process re-engineering, Broadband experience, Infrastructure solution implementations and upgrades, and multi-agency implementations. Position will require an in-depth knowledge of industry and public sector methodologies for the successful implementation of major projects along with a track record for management and/or specialty. The Senior PM Specialist is highly organized, articulate, detail oriented, has highly developed business acumen, and is comfortable leading and delegating within a cross-functional project team structure. The Senior PM Specialist reports directly to the Director of the Project Management Office.Duties and Responsibilities:

• Full Project Life cycle - Manage a project from initiation through requirements gathering, development, testing, and implementation.
• Coach and mentor other Project Management Specialists
• Contracts management, financial management (budgets and costs)
• Establish effective communication with user community
• Collaborate effectively with project team members and technical leads, as well as with the customer and other stakeholders.

• Bachelor's degree and 8 years of project management experience with 3 of those years in a manager capacity or specialization.
• Candidate must be able to demonstrate knowledge of development life cycle methodologies, the principles of project management, and the techniques of business process analysis and reengineering.
• PMP certification preferred.
• Candidate must have working knowledge in preparation of project planning and life cycle methodologies
• Candidate must have knowledge and experience with business process improvement methodologies
• Candidate should have a technical aptitude combined with the ability to interact with various levels of business users.
• Experience with project portfolio tool as well as project management process experience preferred.
• Experience in implementation of Cloud technologies preferred.
