Works in a consulting role for external users (clients) and internal users (sales and development team) to provide guidance and support in the implementation of data flows from software to clients and vice versa.
RESPONSIBILITIES Guidance and Support:- Primarily supports users by acting as a consultant to external users (clients) and internal users (sales and development team) about the optimal way to flow data into and out of the application.
- Establish and maintain a strong functional knowledge of the software and data flows that exist and the underlying technologies behind them
- Clearly communicating the automation process to clients and answering technical questions they may have regarding the process via phone and email
- Act as a liaison between clients and development team
- Provides assistance and advice to client's technical support and development team
- Provide accurate and timely logging of problems.
- Escalate issues to appropriate team members in a timely manner.
- Identifying, tracking, and resolving unique technical issues
- Working with Terminal, Visual Basic scripts, SFTP, Shell scripts, Windows services, XML, Unix/Linux, SAML, SCORM, and SOAP Web Services
- Documents specific duties, activities, problems solved and issues resolved
- Assists in the documentation of data flows into and out of software.
- Provides and updates training documentation.
- Attends meetings and serves on committees, as requested
- Regular attendance as required
- Performs additional duties and assignments as requested
- High School graduate required.
- Bachelor Degree Required
- 0 - 1 years in data integration.
- 1 - 2 years in customer support
- Computer, network operations and maintenance
- LAN/WANs
- Microsoft Operating Systems
- Familiarity with PHP, C#, VBA, VB, Excel, MySQL, MSSQL, XML, SCORM
- Ability to work with various protocols such as: HTTP, HTTPS, FTP, SFTP, and SOAP
- Familiarity with popular enterprise SaaS based systems a plus (Micros, Aloha, Taleo, Concur, SAP, Salesforce, Oracle etc.)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Evaluate critical systems, prioritize workflow and determine solutions
- Ability to work with sensitive accounts
- Detailed understanding of various databases
- Ability to research and make judgment based on gathered facts
- Ability to support Marketing, Sales, RFP, and other efforts towards successful client acquisition and retention
- Interpret and apply laws, regulations and policies
- Ability to exercise discretion, independent judgment, and creative decision-making with regarding to significant matters
- Read and understand technical manuals
- Work for extended time at keyboard/terminal
- Maintain effective working relationships with supervisor and coworkers
- Work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings
