Networking Engineer

Position: Networking EngineerLocation: Wichita, KansasDuration: 12 Months Required Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education• Performs support tasks for medium to large, complex Cisco network solutions.• Network problem identification and resolution, including off-shift and weekend support functions.• Work with vendors on integration of solutions.• Assists customers with documentation, training, and usability efforts.• Prioritize, manage, workload as required.• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve hardware, software, or other network and system problems, and replace defective components when necessary on/off-shift and during weekends.• Strong verbal and written communication skills, problem solving skills, customer service and interpersonal skills.• Ability to work independently and manage one’s time as well as well as being a collaborative team member.• Strong ability to troubleshoot issues and make system changes as needed to resolve issue.• Able to respond to demanding target dates.TCP/IP fundamentals (VLSM/CIDR), QoS, IP Subnetting, • Cabling (copper & fiber), OSPF, BGP, VLAN Trunking, VLANs, • advanced switching configuration like VSS, HSRP, VRF. • Cisco WLCs, 802.1x Authentication.• Experience working with or for network or telecommunications vendors
