This team is on the groundbreaking of new product creation, implementing investment strategies from Smart Beta and Factors to Sustainable Investing and ESG.As a Software Engineer in BlackRock Index Services, you will support a growing area in a multifaceted and ambitious environment. Day-to-day responsibilities include:
  • Platform Engineering. Participate in the design of the target platform. Coordinate its implementation with the broader team. Extensive hands-on coding to build out the platform
  • Production Engineering. In partnership with the production team, review, optimize and automate existing processes to achieve maximum output quality and scale.
  • Product Engineering. Closely work with the Self-Indexing Research team to help optimize the machinery used to build universes and indices.
  • Evangelize and implement SDLC best practices within the Self-Indexing team
  • Establish and maintain partnerships with other technology teams within the firm to insure (1) that BIS efficiently use central services and (2) that the choices made for its platform are compatible with the firm's strategic technology choices.
