RESPONSIBILITIES:Kforce has a client that is seeking a Senior Electric Design Engineer in Phoenix, Arizona (AZ). We are working directly with the hiring manager.Summary:The Senior Electronic Design Engineer will be responsible for architecture/design, development, deployment, and maintenance of electrical and electronic hardware products. These products include internet-connected components as well as systems which consist of multiple mechanical/ electrical/firmware and software components which must work together seamlessly. This position requires close collaboration and cooperation with mechanical, electrical, firmware, and Software Engineers to develop solutions with an emphasis on simplicity and time-to-market.Responsibilities of the Senior Electric Design Engineer: Architect, design, develop, debug, deploy, and maintain electrical and electronic hardware for new and existing Company products Collaborate with other disciplines to design and develop high quality, highly reliable, easily maintainable hardware/systems with an emphasis on simplicity and time-to-market The Senior Electric Design Engineer develops thorough design documentation Develop and execute test procedures As a Senior Electric Design Engineer, you will provide support for internal and external customersREQUIREMENTS: The Senior Electric Design Engineer will need a Bachelor of Science or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, or a closely related field 8-15 years of professional electrical engineering design and development experience Knowledge of electrical, electronic, electromagnetic engineering design principles and the physics behind them Knowledge of rechargeable battery technologies and power supply design is preferred Knowledge of low-power real-time embedded system design (MSP430, PIC a plus) Knowledge of digital communication hardware and protocols such as (UART, SPI, I2C, IrDA, USB, WIFI, RFID, TCP/IP) Skilled in analog and/or digital circuit design and analysis Solid PCB design experience, Flex PCB design experience a plus Encryption hardware experience a plus Knowledge of related manufacturing and assembly processes Strong design and troubleshooting skills Ability to recommend and justify the purchase of tools and equipment Ability to prepare and verify detailed calculations, specifications, and analysis Experience developing electrical hardware in a cross-functional team Ability to organize and participate in design reviews Knowledge of software development models and project management techniques Ability to work independently and cooperatively while adhering to department operating rules and guidelines Strong communication and strong, logical problem-solving skillsKforce is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
