JOB OVERVIEW:The Network Administrator position involves hands on day-to-day IT support to personnel within KBS. The candidate is responsible for effective provisioning, installation/configuration, operation, health, and maintenance of systems hardware, software and related infrastructure.Candidates should be self-starters and can work both independently and with all levels of employees. The successful candidate will have excellent outward behavior and attitude to interpersonal relationships, as well as an appetite for learning and a desire to deliver quality and timely solutions.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
  • Provide helpdesk support to end users as necessary, which includes implementing solutions, providing feedback to the end user and properly documenting the issue’s solution.
  • Continually improve the network by monitoring and evaluating network performance issues including availability, utilization, throughput, and latency.
  • Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot VoIP phones and equipment.
  • Prepare periodic maintenance plans and comply with change management procedures
  • Conduct initial troubleshooting of network alerts to either find a resolution or escalate to appropriate support group.
  • Troubleshoot network and internet connectivity issues.
  • Participate in an after-hours on-call rotation.
  • Assist with maintaining written documentation which defines upcoming infrastructure needs and/or requirements.
  • Provide administration support for KBS’s Local Area Network (LAN), Wide Area Network (WAN), and Virtual Private Network (VPN).
  • Must be able to self-manage to meet objectives timely.
  • Develop reports and presentations for management as needed.
  • Complete any special projects assigned in the given deadline.
  • Must be willing to travel to remote sites. Travel will be scheduled by the Company and employees are expected to travel on those days. Travel will be required throughout the year and sometimes on short notice.
  • QUALIFICATIONS: Essential:
    • 2-4 years of experience in administering network infrastructures or the ability to demonstrate strong skills within an interview
    • Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)
    • Experience with Cisco networks and Cisco UCS
    • Experience working with VPN technologies (IPSEC, SSL, VPN, Cisco AnyConnect)
    • Utilize monitoring tools to ensure optimum availability, capacity, and performance of network infrastructure
    • Configuration and support of Windows Active Directory, Office 365
    • Conduct after-hours maintenance
    • Experience administering firewalls and security controls (ASA, Firepower, IDS/IPS, FMC, Cisco AMP)
    • Experience with SD-WAN technology
    • Physical – ability to lift 50 lbs., climb ladders relocate servers/switches into racks, move desktop PC’s and run network cable is required
    Nice to have:
    • Configuration and support of SANs (EMC, Pure)
    • Experience with backup technologies (Veeam, Data Domain, iLand)
    • Knowledge of Virtual System environments (VMware ESXi)
    • Experience working with an enterprise SIEM (AlienVault)
    • Experience in security administration
