The IT Trainer works directly with attorneys, staff, professional managers and firm directors as the frontline point of contact for the firm training needs. The IT Trainer has regular interactions with the IT staff at all levels of the organization, including IT Managers, IT Directors and the firm's CIO, as it relates to training planning. The IT Trainer can expect to have frequent contact with attorneys in all the firm's offices including senior leaders throughout the firm.

POSITION SUMMARY:The ideal candidate should be a self-starter with experience in a helpdesk, word processing or other time-critical client services function, have the ability to easily develop a rapport with users, have a pleasant telephone voice, excellent listening skills, possess the ability to lead the end-user to a solution through one-on-one guidance and be responsive to urgent support requests with strong follow-up skills. The IT Trainer must always perform the duties of the position according to the Firm’s policies and procedures and maintain the confidentiality of client and firm matters.

SPECIFIC DAILY RESPONSIBILITIES-Maintain a strong understanding of the Firm's core desktop environment, including Windows 10, Microsoft Office 2013/Office 365 and the various legal applications in use.-Develop technical and functional expertise in the desktop environment and applications and leverage this knowledge to develop and maintain end-user training resources.-Manage and maintain the Firm's Learning Management System and Intranet/eLearning content.-Develop or acquire, incorporate, and maintain all IT training content, e.g. eLearning videos, New Hire training handouts, quick reference guides, etc.-Deliver New Hire computer training and follow up with those users to maximize their productivity.-Develop and report on Key Performance Indicators (KPI's) to assist with the tracking of end-user productivity and application adoption/usage and proactively check in with them on a regular basis to aid in their understanding and use of the computer and applications.-Point of escalation for the Helpdesk on a regular basis, as needed.-Educate end-users on IT department policies.

PERIODIC RESPONSIBILITIES-Work with IT team members on testing software applications, firm deployed Images and updating/creating technical documentation.-Submit new knowledge base articles, when appropriate-Perform additional duties and functions as requested.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS-Must have experience creating computer-based training videos using Adobe Captivate or other similar screen recording tools.-Expert proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite 2013/2016/2019/365.-Proficiency with commonly used legal applications including document management systems, legal template and numbering software, document comparison software, timekeeping software, and Adobe Acrobat Professional.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS-Bachelor's Degree or 3-year IT training experience-International law firm experience preferred.-Excellent communication and brokering skills between legal/administrative staff and IT teams (IT Support Specialist I, IT Support Specialist II and IT engineers).-Highly motivated and organized, requiring minimal direct supervision.-Ability to work well under pressure, with patience, diplomacy and possess excellent interpersonal skills.-Demonstrate skill at prioritizing workload and adapting to changing work conditions.-Must be able to effectively transfer knowledge in written, oral, or classroom format to others.-Inspired to expand and refine own knowledge of technology, computer applications, teaching and training methodologies and training video creation as it applies to the legal workplace.-Experience with training users on IOS or Android devices and applications.
