Experis is hiring a
Network & Telecom Director to manage the networking and telecom service teams for our government client. This is a direct hire opportunity requiring the incumbent to work onsite in Topeka, KS. Overview: The Director is responsible for a team of 18 direct/indirect reports which provide oversight and support for WAN systems, VoIP, data and wireless networking for multiple agencies. This role requires a combination of strong leadership as well as technical proficiency. Qualifications:- 10+ years' experience in setting strategy and managing a team of 8+ staff.
- Strong and creative leadership and organizational skills.
- A professional background including experience planning, designing, and managing an enterprise network support team.
- Must be a strategic thinker and able to create and communicate on a 3-5-year IT Network (both voice and data) roadmaps.
- Highly collaborative orientation, with great diplomacy, analytical and organizational skills.
- General knowledge of network principles in a large enterprise environment: Routing, switching, wireless, telephony, & telecommunications general knowledge. Knowledge of Cisco network equipment is a plus.
- Experience deploying enterprise-class solutions. Knowledge of deploying Cisco WAN solutions, or multi-site Cisco Data Center solutions or Riverbed monitoring solutions is a plus.
- Experience in a fast-paced multi-tasking environment.
- Experience with vendor management.
- Communication and presentation skills with the ability to communicate/present technical solutions to technical/non-technical associates and vendors.
- Experience in IT service management principles.
- Ability to work onsite in Topeka, KS daily.
- Desirable skills include network certifications such as CCIE, CCNA, CCDP, etc.
- Experience with large-scale LAN, MAN, and WAN operations is also favored.
- Must be able to pass/obtain Security clearances.
