  • Workwith non-Data Science business partners tosupportSBD'sD2C and D2Bstrategy
  • Actas a technical leader across technical domains related to data science (deep reinforcement learning, multi-armed bandits, etc.)
  • Createa collaborative team culture that partners effectively with technical peers indata engineering,ML Ops, system architects,andfront-endweb developers
  • Builda service-oriented architecture that creates a symphony ofauto-scaling microservices. These microservices willdeliverpayloads varyingfrom personalized product recommendations to user/product embeddings
  • Become a trusted advisor to business partners by enabling a full spectrum ofdata scienceproducts ranging from journey analytics dashboards to best in class personalizationAI
  • Appropriately balance multiple workstreams with significant ROI and strategic impact for the firm
  • Set a multi-quarter roadmap for personalization; Appropriately balance quick win MVPs(onsite journey analytics)withhigh impactlong-terminitiatives(best in class personalization algorithms)
  • Partner with a variety of engineering partners to ensure AI-drive personalizationsuggestions weave seamlessly into onsite customer experiences
  • Serve as a technical leader both by providing high level modelling strategies and performing, as needed, QC and code reviews for staff
  • Mentor staff to help them grow boththeir technical and soft skills

  • 5+ years of relevant industry work experience inbuilding recommendation systems
  • 9+ years of experience in data science
  • Experience partnering with engineering, or independently deploying auto-scaling microservices
  • Ability to help mentor staff inday to daycoding challenges
  • Strong grasp of the math underpinning advanced AI techniques that yields an intuitive understand of what methods will and won't work
  • Demonstrated proficiency communicating with Director/VP stakeholders
  • Experience managing a multi-quarter roadmap that is heavily influenced by business input
