Job Title: Project Manager Location: Remote + Travel (up to 80%) Duration: 11 month contract + chance of conversion Compensation: Highly competitive and negotiable Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Manage and implement small scope projects with system elements such as high speed sortation, conveyors and work cells.
  • Manage on-site vendors through their leads and escalate issues through vendor and Amazon leadership.
  • Evaluate issues and propose actionable resolutions to design or layout problems.
  • Identify and communicate needs for design improvements.
  • Monitor and enforce project schedules and quality with vendors or subcontractors.
  • Build strong working relationships with Fulfillment center (FC) leadership teams as well as key support groups such as Launch, IT, Maintenance, Finance, Safety and Project Engineers.
  • Support and lead process improvement initiatives in support of Operations teams.
  • Perform and direct data mining and analyze the results to provide recommendations or conclusions.
  • This role will include frequent travel to all North America locations, upwards of 80%.
Day to Day Tasks:
  • Manage the build project equipment inventory through a third party.
  • Manage the deployment schedule through the third party
  • Lead a team of peers to launch the project on time and budget.
  • Manage the deployment budget. Up to $25 million
  • 3-9 month projects.
Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations, Business Administration, or a related field
  • 3+ years of experience in design and/or implementation of small scale projects
  • 3+ years of experience in Microsoft Office products: Excel, Project and Outlook
Preferred Qualifications (not required):
  • Master's degree in Engineering, Operations, Business Administration, or a related field
  • PMP Certification
  • Operational Management or Internship Experience
Top Skills:
  • Communication written and oral
  • Organization skills to set and manage team schedule and the project schedule.
  • Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word).
  • Self-driven.
