Responsibilities
  • Design and own component architecture, development, and deployment, incorporating leading practices for a portfolio.
  • Work with Executive leadership to develop strategy roadmap and feature releases.
  • Maintain awareness of federal/government compliance issues (ie: Section 508 / FedRamp)
  • Assist communications team with positioning, and pitches.
  • Assist in developing applicable methodologies, tools, approaches, points of view, thought leadership, and accelerators
  • Demonstrate strong technical skills, specifically with architectural and development patterns
  • Participate in the overall architecture, design, and technical oversight of complex business initiatives.
  • Interface with the executive team to define requirements, recommend solutions and ultimately implement per cost, scope, and schedule.
  • Provide advisory support on complex tasks and project supervision.
  • Articulate alternatives in terms of cost, benefit, and risk where multiple solutions exist. Assist the Communications Manager in the creation of technical project plans and assists in assembling teams for outreach and engagement. Perform technical quality assurance audits
  • Develop long-term relationships and networks both internally and externally
  • Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code.
  • Knowledge of industry-wide technology trends and best practices
  • Ability to work in a small collaborative team to achieve organizational goals, and passionate about building an innovative culture.
  • Advanced knowledge of application, data, and infrastructure architecture disciplines
  • Understanding of architecture and design across all systems

Technical Skills
  • Bachelor's degree and approximately 4 years of related work experience
  • Prior industry experience preferred
  • Web fundamentals - HTML, JavaScript, and CSS
  • Front-end (CSS) frameworks like Foundation or Bootstrap
  • Front-end web design (UI/UX)
  • JavaScript frameworks like Angular, React, or Ember etc.,
  • JS-based build tools like Grunt, Gulp, and Bower
  • NodeJS, PHP Laravel, WordPress, Python Flask, Django
  • MongoDB, MySQL
  • API design and development
  • Knowledge of AWS (EC2, Lambda, S3, Cognito, SES, Elastic Load Balancers etc.)
  • Git & GitFlow
  • DevOps & CI/CD pipelines
