The Opportunity:We are currently searching for Project Management Office (PMO) Analyst to join our team. A critical player in the project management cycle, the PMO Analyst is responsible for monitoring and analyzing project data to ensure that timelines and budgets stay on track, and that the staff works efficiently and effectively. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with the ability to organize, multitask and leverage an understanding of the “big-picture” as part of a team developing medical technologies that improve people’s lives.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
  • Partner with organizational leadership to define and deliver on key business objectives and work relentlessly towards achieving tangible business value for SMD and its clients.
  • Monitor existing projects, closely following project development and tracking that each stage is completed on time and on budget
  • Produce intelligent, data-driven, fact based, measurable reports/data graphs and KPIs to visually articulate progress or lack thereof
  • Proactively identify risks and issues on projects, collaborating with project managers to develop risk management and issue management plans
  • Contribute to the development, implementation, and oversight of the project process methodology
  • Develop and maintain a tracking and reporting mechanism to provide current project resource data such as demand vs. supply reports, resource allocation, and resource utilization.
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree in related field; Engineering, Business Administration, or other related discipline
  • 7+ years of experience in Engineering Project Management and/or PMO Leadership
  • Demonstrated knowledge of project management tools and techniques
  • Knowledge of fiscal planning, business case development, and contract management
  • Experience building PMO processes
  • Experience reporting on engineering project financials
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) and Agile certification, a plus

  • Ability to effectively interface with a variety of stakeholders
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Strong Excel, Word and PowerPoint skills
