The Systems Administrator I will provide "tier 2" support for enterprise applications, Windows Server and virtualization systems hosted in University's data centers and in the cloud (ie. Azure, Amazon) including application administration and support. Responsibility for maintaining and advancing the university's identity management infrastructure such as authentication / authorization and account provisioning, using LDAPs, Active Directory, and federation tools. Shared responsibility for administering the university's Microsoft collaboration systems (on premise Exchange, Skype for Business/Teams and Microsoft Office365). Coordinate other Microsoft application activities with other Information Technology Division (ITD) departments and other campus academic and administrative departments requiring similar IT infrastructure services.
Required EducationBachelor's Degree preferably in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a closely related technical discipline required.Note: An Associate's degree with five (5) years progressively responsible, related experience as described below - or - a High School diploma/High School Equivalency and seven (7) years progressively responsible related experience as described below may be considered in lieu of a Bachelor's degree.Required Related ExperienceThree or more years full time, progressively responsible work experience with management of Windows virtualized servers, VMware, Hyper V or cloud (Azure, Amazon) virtual environments required; experience administering a Microsoft Active Directory and Microsoft collaboration platforms (e.g. Exchange)Desirable Related ExperienceCitrix administration experience preferred.
