Disaster Recovery / Business Continuity ITSM

Location: Princeton, NJ Description: Our client is currently seeking a permanent DR/BC IT Service Manager to work full-time in Princeton, NJ. 2 areas of focus for this position: 1.Disaster Recovery/Business Continuity- this is the key and 80-90% of the focus 2.Change Management- less of focus, but still part of the role Someone with a strong background focused in the Disaster Recover/Business Continuity space. Someone who can work with the business team, IT, Risk Management, to develop DR strategies, build plans, run tests, do Root Cause Analysis, Retest, etc. Work with providers/vendors Provide end to end DR, help to get their DR program globally in good shape. Will work with teams globally (mentioned ASIA PAC and Germany).Also handle Compliance and Regulatory issues around DR ServiceNow experience a plus, but any ITSM tool is fine. Any experience in Insurance or Financial industry is a nice plus, not a must. Also very important is for this person to be a go getter with strong Influencing skillsIT Service Management provides an independent view on the performance of IT service delivery units. This includes monitoring the stability of IT services, delivery and support processes, management of escalation as well as performance reporting for customers. IT Service Management also defines and implements ITIL- and operational procedures and measures compliance We are looking for a Service Manager that will be responsible for Disaster Recovery and be part of the global Change Management function and ensuring compliance to the Change Policy. Your job: Disaster Recovery : Responsible for coordinating the end to end IT Disaster Recovery tests in the region across multiple data centers, cloud and local branches Partner with all IT groups to ensure that DR applications & infrastructure have Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery Plans fully documented and tested Develop and adapt ITSCM concepts with the team Responsible for ensuring the DR reporting is produced detailing all aspects of the test; successes and remediation activates Would be part of the global DR team to ensure consistency of approach and global reporting Change Management : Be an active part of the Change Approval process (LCABs & GCABs) to ensure Change policy is adhered to. Preparation, organization and performance of Change Advisory Boards Enforce Change process compliance and review all controls and regulatory requirements (e.g., authorizations, approvals, testing, segregation of duties, etc.) for the critical application Changes have been fulfilled Produce and Provide Change Management reports, for compliance reporting, corrective measures and escalations Define and setup framework and KPIs for Change management report Overall : Support audit and examination activities Drive continuous service improvement in terms of the process and its implementation to increase the maturity level Further development of quality procedures / reporting Qualifications University degree in a technical discipline or equivalent experience Several years of experience in IT services roles Profound Change Management knowledge preferred in Service Now Tool Good understanding of Business Continuity Management Sound practical knowledge for IT Infrastructure Process Management Experience in design and implementation of technical reporting Essential experience in IT project management and in technical leading of global distributed team Pronounced analytical, conceptual and planning skills as well as ability to work independently and practically Ability to document and present complex ideas (e.g. draft architecture) in a structured and comprehensible manner Very good command of English Team player and clear customer focus Joy Provenzano, VP- Recruiting, The Judge Group 90 Matawan Rd, Suite 102, Matawan, NJ 07747 office www.judge.com Contact: This job and many more are available through The Judge Group.
