Role: Workday Compensation and Allowances Consultant

Location: Washington, DC

Duration: Long Term Responsibilities

The Workday Compensation and Allowances Consultant will:
  • Assist in the design, testing and implementation of work related to Compensation and Allowances for US-based (Headquarter-based or HQ) employees and Overseas Local Employees (comprising 110 countries).
  • Validate and test all allowance plans, a large number of One-Time Payment plans and the merit/promotion module.
  • Coordinate test cases development, assignment, and reporting.
  • Develop comprehensive test scenarios for testing compensation plans.
  • Conduct End-to-End and UAT testing for Compensation, including merit (three pay rate types) and promotion functionalities.
  • Develop comprehensive test scenarios to support the workstream in the design, implementation and testing of HQ and non-HQ Benefits configurations.
  • Conduct testing sessions, liaison between Implementation Partner and Testers to troubleshoot and facilitate bug resolutions
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
Experience
  • The Workday Expert should have

    expertise in managing sophisticated compensation configurations within Workday, and through interfaces to other IT solutions or integrations to/from third party vendors.
  • They should have an in-depth understanding of risks and control environments for financial sector participants, especially across Workday modules and between different IT solutions.
  • Experience in coordinating testing activities.
Qualifications
  • Min 4 years of Workday experience with expertise in Compensation and Allowances, and Workday Reporting.
  • Deep knowledge of Workday’s Business Process Framework and Security Experience with Workday Staffing BP.
  • Excellent communication skills and relationship building across both business and technical disciplines. Collaborative approach across functional area, leadership and employees.
  • Experience working in a highly matrixed organization. Able to work in a fast-paced and dynamic team environment. Success working in an environment with limited information and ambiguity as an SME for all things.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and drive initiatives to full completion.
  • Solution-oriented, resourceful, and self-motivated with the ability to train and mentor staff on Workday functionalities.
