We're looking for a Senior PHP Web Developer to work and support multiple existing client Custom PHP Applications, Drupal & Worpdress production sites. As a Senior PHP Web Developer, you will be involved in all aspects of the software development lifecycle. We need true software engineers who are experts at what they do. A few details are listed below:

  • Will be responsible for coding, testing, debugging, documenting, and monitoring production websites
  • Preparing application for live environment.
  • Unit-Testing and End-to-End testing of code.
  • Determine time estimates to complete tasks.
  • Documenting technical specifications.
  • Write the application according to specifications.
  • Coordinating with designers, administrators, project managers and other programmers.
  • Ability to work independently and work with other team members to ensure on-time quality delivery of applications.
  • Prioritizing tasks and daily activities.
  • Part of a project where he/she will receive the technical specifications and write code from it.
  • Daily stand-up meetings to review current progress and obstacles with direct team.
  • Weekly meetings to review with the entire technology team.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 6+ years of commercial experience with PHP
  • Minimum 8 to 10 years' experience in software development and IT consulting.
  • Experience developing web solutions in Drupal and PHP implementations in a LAMP environment
  • Experience developing web solutions in Wordpress and PHP implementations in a LAMP environment
  • Experience with Composer, Drush (Drupal command line tool), Git, Twig, Jenkins, Apache
  • Experience developing and consuming REST web services
  • Familiarity with SASS/LESS, Bootstrap
  • Knowledge of PHP, PHP files and theme functions, and knowledge of the Drupal & Wordpress theme layer
  • Through understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle (e.g. Requirements, Design, Development, Testing).
  • Experience with Agile or iterative SDLCs methodologies
  • Familiarity with JIRA or Agile ticketing system and Confluence or other collaborative workspace
  • Strong Communication skills with both internal team members as well as customers.
  • Able to effectively communicate with third party collaborators to jointly contribute to the project's success.
  • Basic Photoshop Skills for slicing and producing web assets from layered PSDs files.
  • Experience developing responsive and adaptive design websites
  • Familiarity with Section 508, WCAG, ARIA accessibility standards
  • Ability to write JavaScript with and without the use of frameworks such as jQuery
  • Comfortable working with debugging tools like Firebug, Chrome inspector, etc.
  • Ability to understand CSS changes to have consistent style across platforms and browsers
  • Ability to convert comprehensive layout and wireframes into working HTML pages
