The Strategic Program Group at Take2 is looking for fast-paced, well-organized self-starters to support a high-profile project supporting the Department of Veterans Affairs. This individual will join a group of cross-functional teams implementing a large modernization effort on a long-term contract. Support the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Electronic Health Record Modernization (EHRM) program as a Joint Architecture/Interfaces Strategist

Job Responsibilities:
  • The Joint Architecture/ Interfaces Strategist has a broad range of responsibilities related to the identification, analysis and tracking of interfaces to the Federal EHR enclave.
  • Develop strategies to translate technical goals into executable activities.
  • Responsible for ensuring that interfaces are appropriately assessed, developed, and managed in accordance with the Ports, Protocols, and Services (PPS) requirements of DoD and VA.
  • Maintain awareness of the status of IT architectural activities between DoD and VA and seek ways to mature processes and establish effective frameworks for cross-Department architectural building and comparisons.
  • Support the maturation of cross-Department activities such as by drafting charters, memorandums of understanding and activity trackers.
  • Act as a versatile technical strategist, working on multiple activities concurrently.
  • Assist in the identification and mitigation of technical risks and issues to the Federal EHR enclave.

Basic Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience is required. An additional 12 years of relevant experience may be substituted for degree requirements
  • PhD in Healthcare, Science, Computer Engineering or related scientific, technical, or clinical discipline
  • Able to develop high-level strategies, build consensus and to execute discrete activities
  • Prior experience and knowledge of architecture and interfaces
  • Prior experience supporting large organizations with numerous stakeholder groups

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in the VA
  • Experience implementing Electronic Health Records
