Caregiving is a most rewarding career, but it is not for everyone. Full shifts require you to be on your feet for 8, 10, sometimes 12 hours straight. The very people you care for are not always easy to help and at times can be difficult and rude. The tasks are very personal, intimate, and perhaps awkward.
The rewards however are most abundant. Helping those who are helpless is a call for some of you. If you love people and especially seniors, the backbone of our society, then caregiving is for you.
The elders in our community will make you laugh and make you cry. They will bless you and occasionally may even curse you. But every one of them will experience love and care because of you, their caregiver!
