Audio-Video Installation Project Manager

Job Description

Audiovisual system integration firm seeks a Project Manager / System Engineer to manage and commission commercial and museum projects in the San Francisco Bay Area and nationally. The successful candidate will be a team player with strong oral and written communication skills and excellent technical chops.

Experience

Candidate should have at least three years of experience in the audiovisual industry and have been responsible for delivery of projects of at least five hundred thousand dollars. Must be familiar with construction process and documents, be able to read drawings and specifications, produce submittals and shop drawings and generate requests for information, change orders, commissioning reports and close out documents. Must be able to establish and maintain productive relationships with clients, architects, consultants, general contractors and other trades.

Candidate should be able to troubleshoot digital audio and video systems, control systems and networks.

Certifications

Any of the following certifications are desirable: CTS, Biamp Tesira, QSC Q-Sys, Crestron Digital Media, Crestron Programming, Cisco TelePresence, others relating to networking and VOIP. Applicants should list specific levels achieved.

Software

Candidate must have a strong command of business software such as Microsoft Excel and Word. The ability to create and track schedules in Microsoft Project, Smartsheets or equivalent software is desirable. Computer aided design experience in Autocad or Revit is highly desirable; describe specific experience if relevant.

Travel

Candidate must be willing to work on job-sites outside the San Francisco Bay Area for up to 4 months per year. Travel flexibility will be a consideration in hiring and promotion decisions.

About the Company

We are a San Francisco-based AV Designer and Integrator with 30+ years’ experience designing, building, and programming museum and commercial AV projects. We are a small firm by design with about 25 people. We work on both large and small scale projects with budgets from $200K to $5M+. We are engineering-centric with no marketing staff or non-technical management.
