Detox Technician

The Detox Technician position opening in an upscale residential treatment facility. Seeking NOC shift and Day shift for both weekdays and weekends.

The Detox Technician is responsible for client care involving medical protocol, takes clients on outings to beach/hikes/walks etc., documents client progress, helps with cleaning and communicates to team client concerns and progress. Reports to Clinical Director and Executive Director.

Narcotic count; witnessed and document

Observe medications

Follow PRN requirements

Assess clients – do rounds “cheek to cheeks”

Document in Med log, complete necessary CIWAS, and/or COWS

Facilitate new client intakes, and discharges

Ensure all required forms are signed and initialed

Start dishwasher – put dishes away

Check laundry room – start wash, dryer, and/or fold - - put away

Clean employee bathroom (sweep, wash mats if needed, scrub toilet, wipe counter)

Check in the shift reports for any updates on clients or important notices

Review all charts for completion

Complete delegated tasks (ie: UR’s, complete new intake forms)

o Help complete any JCOH forms/ Tx plans etc.

Make sure there is always copies of necessary forms available in filing

o Make Dr packets

tray/cabinets, medication book and in client charts (ie: enough progress report forms)

Make new charts

Greet next shift

Start coffee pot

Chart and make sure 72hr cheek-to-cheeks are complete

Give report to the next shift

Narcotic count: witnessed and documented in narc binder
