The Systems Engineering, Integration, and Test (SEIT) team at Northrop Grumman Mission Systems (NGMS) is looking for you to join us as a Staff Cyber Systems Engineer based out of Woodland Hills, CA. The SEIT Department provides systems engineering support to all product areas across Navigation and Cockpit Systems (NACS). Systems Engineering responsibilities include requirements decomposition and management, System integration and checkout, data processing analysis, cyber, and anti-tamper, and subject matter expertise across multiple domains. Integration and Test is responsible for developing and maintaining the system-level testing process during all phases of product development and manufacturing including system integration and qualification. As a Staff Cyber Systems Engineer, you will design and develop new systems, applications, and solutions for external customer's enterprise-wide cyber systems and networks. Ensure system security needs are established and maintained for operations development, security requirements definition, security risk assessment, systems analysis, systems design, security test and evaluation, certification and accreditation, systems hardening, vulnerability testing and scanning, incident response, disaster recover, and business continuity planning and provides analytical support for security policy development and analysis. And Integrate new architectural analysis of cyber security features and relate existing system to future needs and trends, embed advanced forensic tools and techniques for attack reconstruction, provide engineering recommendations, and resolve integrations and testing issues. May interface with external entities including law enforcement, intelligence and other government organizations and agencies. In addition to other duties, the candidate performs cyber-related technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for components, subsystems, and total systems. Analyses are performed at all levels of total system product to include: concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal. Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total secure systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints. Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into cyber-related hardware and software specifications. What You'll get to Do: • Ensure system security needs are established and maintained for operations development, security requirements definition, security risk assessment, systems analysis, systems design, security test and evaluation, certification and accreditation, systems hardening, vulnerability testing and scanning, incident response, disaster recovery, and business continuity planning and provides analytical support for security policy development and analysis. • Develop CONOPS, SECOPS and SSPs. • Evaluate or develop Identity Management Solutions. • Integrates new architectural analysis of cyber security features and relates existing system to future concepts and plans. • Embeds advanced forensic tools and techniques for attack reconstruction, provides engineering recommendations, and resolves integrations and testing issues. • Apply working knowledge of federal government policies and procedures, such as, NIST SP 800-53, ICD 503, DoD 8500.2, DHS 4300A, Cyber Security Framework, and Risk Management Framework. WOODLANDHILLSQualifications:Basic Qualifications: • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or other related discipline and a minimum of 14 years of progressive engineering experience; or a Master's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or other related discipline and a minimum of 12 years of progressive engineering experience; or a Ph.D. in Engineering, Computer Science and 10 years of progressive engineering experience. • A proven track record of applying expertise within a team of engineers and of establishing strong relationships with other functional organizations and Program Offices. • Experience in developing CONOPS, SECOPS and SSPs. • Working knowledge of federal government policies and procedures, such as, NIST SP 800-53, ICD 503, DoD 8500.2, DHS 4300A, Cyber Security Framework. • Demonstrable knowledge of application security methodology through the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC). • Experience with Risk Management Framework (RMF). • Experience with proposal estimation and technical writing. • Excellent verbal communication skills, from large audiences to one-on-one. Must be able to take complex ideas and present in such a fashion that the non-technical person will understand. • Experience analyzing and designing network technologies across a mega global enterprise network. • Expert knowledge of emerging technologies and experience applying new solutions to system requirements. • Experience incorporating emerging technologies into existing environments. • Must have the ability to travel approximately 10%. • Must be a U.S. Citizen with the ability to obtain a Secret Clearance. Preferred Qualifications: • Master's degree in an Engineering discipline. • Experience with Cyber architecture development and design applying innovative security solutions and creative application of COTS, Open Sources and customer-developed solutions. • Experience with designing and developing new systems, applications, and solutions for external and internal customer's enterprise-wide cyber systems and networks, including Cloud implementations. • Experience in developing Key Management plans for Type 1 Keys. • Airborne systems cyber security experience including ATP. • Cross-domain sharing solutions experience. • Knowledge of/experience with emerging (e.g., DO-178) development processes highly desired. • Industry certification, such as Security+ or CISSP. • Working knowledge of Model-Based Engineering methods and tools. • Current active Secret Clearance.
