Aerospace Manufacturer seeking a Project ManagerResponsibilities

  • Leads others and directs all phases of assigned cross-organizational or business unit projects demonstrating proficiency in all project management areas in accordance with accepted project management standards in the industry (e.g., Project Management Body of Knowledge [PMBOK], ANSI/PMI 99-001-2008).
  • Identifies key stakeholder project objectives and requirements.
  • Ensures assigned individuals are executing the identified and assigned tasks and providing appropriate tracking and reporting per plan.
  • Negotiates regulatory parameters in support of domestic and international projects with local, state, federal and international governmental agencies.
  • Authorizes baseline plans and revisions.
  • Provides in-depth analysis of project culminating with lessons learned and historical reports for incorporation into future project plans.
  • Provides assessment of team performance to appropriate management.
  • Consults with executive leadership and integrates organizational strategy and company initiatives to develop project deliverables.
  • Focal point for the company with the customer
  • Complete programe ownership from award to final delivery for delivery schedule, meeting quality standards and financial controls.
  • Identify and manage program risks, issues and opportunities to the protect or improve the program
  • Lead internal project teams to execute the program to plan
  • Coordinate internal activities to ensure all tasks are progressed in line with the program requirements
  • Coordinate and lead major milestone meetings with the customer (ITCM, PDR, CDR, FAI) and compile resulting minutes and action plans
  • Portray the Customers' expectations and requirements to the Engineering team to ensure alignment
  • Provide weekly status updates, milestone schedules and risk analysis summary's
  • Communicate program status, on-going financial viability and identification of key issues to senior management
  • Manage Customer Changes and follow up on change related costs and supporting proposals for both commercial and technical scope of work deviations
  • Initiate invoicing of project payments and follow-up on payment as required
Requirements
  • BS Degree
  • 5 years industry experience (aerospace integration experience desired)
  • Engineering background, ideally within the aerospace industry
  • Proficient in all MS Office applications required
  • Experience in MS Project required
  • Ability to travel
