- Strong Experience with JVM languages (Java & Scala), Hadoop
- Good exp. in Scala is must
- Experience with big data technologies like Hadoop, Kafka and Spark
- Experience in building large scale Web Services and Backend Applications using Java/J2EE, RESTful Web Services, HTTP and JSON technologies
- Experience building back end systems that run Machine Learning based services
- Deep understanding of design patterns, and experience working in a layered architecture
- Knowledge of core CS concepts such as common data structures and algorithms
- Experience in interacting with external partners and architecting the systems
- Strong work ethic - someone who takes great pride in professionalism, responsibility, and being proactive
- Proficient in Test Driven Development, clean code, software craftsmanship
- Build highly available, scalable user facing applications and RESTful Public APIs
- Build, test, and deploy your code in a continuous manner
- Execute as part of a cross-functional Agile team that rapidly delivers iterative value to customers
- Contribute to technical conversations and debates, and decide upon approaches and tools to utilize
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
