Title: IT Project Manager

Location:Hayward, CA As an IT Project Manager you will partner with the Management team to takes projects from original concept through to final implementation and close out.You will develop detailed work plans, schedules, project estimates, resource plans, and status reports. This role may define project scope and objectives. Conducts project meetings and is responsible for project tracking and analysis. You will be responsible for assembling project team, assigning individual responsibilities, identifying appropriate resources needed, and developing schedules to ensure timely completion of project.

Your role:
  • Track and report project status to all stakeholders
  • Communicate and interact with all members of the project team
  • Ensure adherence to compliance and quality standards and review project deliverables
  • Manage the integration of vendor tasks and track and review vendor deliverables
  • Provide technical and analytical guidance to project team
  • Recommend and take action to direct the analysis and solutions of problems
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; benchmarking industry best practices; participating in professional societies

What you've got:
  • BS/BA in an information system related major or degree in another area with directly related IT experience
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience managing IT projects. 2-3 years in digital financial project management
  • PMP (Project Management Professional) certification or study in progress required
  • Experience with custom application development and packaged software implementations
  • Experience in creating an effective team environment, building strong relationships, negotiation, solving problems and issues, resolving conflicts, managing resources in a matrix environment, and communicating effectively at all levels of an organization
  • Knowledge or experience with project management tools, documentation tools, and reporting tools
  • Proven ability to lead and manage cross-functional teams through influence and effective escalations
  • Attention to quality and details is a must
  • Ability to consecutively manage multiple moderately complex projects
  • Solid working knowledge in a project's life cycle
  • Good knowledge of project management methodologies (Agile and Waterfall)
  • Experience in SCRUM master role; certification would be ideal
  • Strong technical background to identify and occasionally manage competing interests
  • Good command of basic project tools: Microsoft Project, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Outlook, GoToMeeting, SharePoint
  • Good working knowledge of: Time: Planning, scheduling, task assignment and tracking
  • Self-starter, excellent verbal, written, and analytical skills
