Job Description

  • Direct supervision, care and development of all Lighthouse Community Center Staff on multi site team across various locations (Minnie St., Wilshire Ave, Citrus Grove, Huntington Beach and new locations)
  • Facilitate strategic planning process, staff development, and metrics reporting (Dashboards, Metrics, Ministry Plans, Quarterly Reviews, Etc.)
  • Oversee annual budget
  • Execute and implement the LCC multiplication strategy of launching new community centers with new congregations. Contribute to the evaluation and effectiveness of the strategy by offering feedback and recommendations to the Local Engagement Pastor for future direction where needed
  • Ensure the values of dual reciprocity and life change, excellence in service and program standards, outreach distinctives and evidence based best practices are held across all LCC locations and teams
  • Direct central support team services to all Mariners congregations as they build and maintaintain LCC ministries
  • Maintain strong relationships with personnel from City of Santa Ana, Property Management, Police Department, and School Districts in alignment with Mariners City Engagement ministry values
  • Continually evaluate the effectiveness of programs and activities while also looking for new ways to engage volunteers to serve
  • Create momentum for the vision and ministry through a creative external and internal communication strategy
  • Train, develop and empower ministry leaders to run daily, weekly and monthly programs through Outreach Core Team strategy

Other Ministry Responsibilities

  • Participates in monthly all church staff meetings, monthly Outreach staff meetings and weekly story time.

  • Assist in planning and implementation of outreach events such as campaigns, volunteer nights, etc.

  4. Agrees with and lives out the vision and values of Mariners Church and adheres to the guidelines and conditions for employment as outlined in the Employee Handbook.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of experience.
  • Experiencing leading teams (volunteers or staff)
  • Bilingual (Spanish) Preferred
  • Must have a dynamic personal relationship with Jesus, living a lifestyle that is above reproach.
  • Experience with identifying and developing volunteer leaders.
  • Strong relational skills.
  • Must be able to demonstrate confidence, humility, and teamwork.
  • Strong verbal and written communication. Able to respond timely to messages.
  • Effective time management.
