Job Description

Your Career

We are looking for an exceptional candidate to join our field Systems Engineering team as an Architect for the newly launched Prisma Cloud Web Application and API Security(WAAS) solution. This role will be focused on helping to collaboratively architect and drive adoption of the Prisma Cloud platform and the Web Application and API Security(WAAS) module with enterprise customers and prospects. The ideal candidate is both a technical specialist and a compelling, proficient communicator with both engineering and executive-level partners.

Ideal candidates have a background in writing code, and understands typical requirements of modern web applications, caching infrastructure, internet protocols, and microservices architectures. This background and understanding will empower them to discern and articulate Web Application and API Security(WAAS) use cases that deliver tangible value in a compelling way to help win new business. This position requires someone to work across industry verticals and cross-functionally internally.

Your Impact

  • Lead technical discovery and solutioning conversations to establish new WAAS business opportunities, expand existing business relationships, and help ensure we are meeting the evolving WAAS technology needs of our customers

  • Work with customer engineering and business teams, as well as internal account and sales teams across multiple verticals, to architect and implement WAAS proof of value(PoV) use cases

  • Partner internally to develop training and educational programs to raise customer awareness of Web Application and API Security

  • Collaborate with product management to accelerate the product-market fit

  • Collaborate with product marketing to craft, refine use case and product-line messaging

  • Help the field teams stay ahead of the competitive landscape and industry trends

Qualifications

Your Experience

  • Heavy WAF experience combined with a solid understanding of cloud native technologies and platforms

  • Experience with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud

  • Experience with ingress controllers, service mesh, certificate management, API gateways, etc.

  • Scripting ability with any of the following: Python, Java, Go, PHP, Unix/Linux Shell, C#, or other common Web languages

  • Docker and Kubernetes experience

  • Unix/Linux or Windows systems administration experience

  • Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g. Jenkins, Chef, etc.) is desired

  • Hands on experience working with microservices architectures in a vendor or client context

  • Validated sales skills working with very technical and highly detail oriented customers in large enterprises

  • 5+ years operating in pre-sales SaaS or PaaS engagements with enterprise organizations; experience handling enterprise sales engagements with multi-tiered and matrixed organizations

  • Expert knowledge of internet protocols and website optimization and acceleration

  • Experience winning “C-suite” sales engagements

  • Demonstrable ability to think strategically on your feet while being persuasive and credible

  • Strong organizational, project management, and leadership skills

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Outstanding listening skills

  • Proven collaboration skills within cross-functional organizations

  • Deep knowledge of enterprise application development and deployment technology
